Four things we do differently. They're the reason the fade still reads clean on day nine and your hairline is still yours at fifty.
With the grain, always
We move the clippers with your curl pattern, not against it. That's what prevents the bumps, the irritation, and the slow hairline recession that comes from years of aggressive cutting.

A clean skin fade is wrist work — precise flicking motions that dissolve the line instead of drawing one. No shadows, no steps, no bands.
Architecture, not aggression
We shape the hairline you have instead of pushing it back to make the line easier to draw. Sharp geometry, natural placement — and enhancement spray or fibers on request when you want the edge to read dense.

Chris opened Design Plus to do one thing at a very high level: put a man in the chair and send him out looking like the best version of himself. Fifteen-plus years in, he's known across southern Dallas County for a bald fade with no shadow in it and an edge-up that's still holding a week and a half later.

Right off Lion Street in DeSoto — an easy pull-up from Duncanville, Lancaster, Cedar Hill, Red Bird and southern Dallas. Free parking directly at the door. No meters, no garage, no circling the block.
Design Plus is a shop, not a waiting room. Flat screens with the game on and conversation you'll want to stay for. But because we run appointments only, you're in the chair at your time.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Design Plus is appointments only, so the chair is ready at your time. Book online through Booksy or call 972-898-5895.
What are your hours?
Tuesday to Friday 9 AM–8 PM, and Saturday 7 AM–5 PM. Closed Sunday and Monday.
How much does a haircut cost?
A haircut is $40. A men’s cut with beard trim and razor is $50, and a taper fade with beard trim is $45. Beard trims start at $25 and an edge-up is $20.
Do you cut women’s hair?
Yes. A women’s cut is $35.
